I prefer not to categorise myself,
but would rather say that I am just
a 'female voice'. If necessary, I would say
I am a mezzo soprano. I have sung soprano,
alto, counter-tenor and even tenor parts.
I do not think it is important to distinguish
the voices in that way. It is only important
to be able to sing exactly what is needed
at the moment. The art of singing depends
on how well a person can control the voice -
which includes the use of different timbres and sounds.
Actually, singing is very simple - you just have to really love music.
